This year's event was held in London, United Kingdom at the Bartlett, University of London under the theme 'Constructing for Uncertainty' during April 15-20, 2013. The 5 day event contained many new ideas, new approaches, discussions and presentations that leveraged this theme. Workshops, talk shops and symposium presentations all took place. The event brought together a large and varied audience interested in computational design and affiliated topics to share ideas, discuss and learn about new advances in design..

isdeThis 4th bi-annual Digital Earth Summit was held in Wellington, New Zealand from 2 to 4 September, which is one of the series of summit organized by the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) in 2012. The summit with theme “Digital Earth and Technology was co-hosted by Wellington City Council and Land Information New ZealandThe three work streams in terms of the Digital environment, Resilient cities and Growing up digital have been carried out. There are 15 keynote speeches and 75 presentations, attracting around 200 delegates from more than 20 countries.

Inspiring keynote speakers, excellent presentations and stimulating social events were just a few highlights that contributed to the success of GI_Forum 2012: With over 1000 participants from 41 countries, the conference organizers of GI_Forum and AGIT received an overwhelming positive response from its growing, vibrant GI community. The 6th Geoinformatics Forum (July 3-6, 2012), co-located with the highly regarded annual German language conference on Applied Geoinformatics (AGIT), was once again organized by the Centre of Geoinformatics (Z_GIS) at the University of Salzburg, Institute of GIScience at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the German University of Technology in Oman. It offered full-fledged, intertwined tracks on GIScience & Technology and Learning with focus on geovisualization, society and learning, and their inter-relationship.

BT-384-GardermoenThe 3rd Annual International Rail GIS Summit was held in Paris, France at the offices of the International Railway (UIC) from June 13-14, 2012. The event focused on the use and application of GIS related technologies in railway design, planning, operation and maintenance. Special attention was given to the inclusion of GIS for asset management. Discussions including several international railways included questions and the event provided an opportunity to share ideas and learn how other organizations are using advanced technologies in railway management.

iss berlin2012The ISS Symposium 2012 was held in Berlin, Germany from May 2-4, 2012. Under the theme 'Research In Space for the Benefit Mankind' the event brought together the leading partners responsible for putting the International Space Station into orbit, astronauts and cosmonauts, the many research scientists involved in the project and the large number of technology, business and education providers associated with the ISS. This major event truly reflected on the ISS planning, operations, discovery and future objectives of the now completed ISS. The presentors spoke about the successes of the project, lessons learned in space and explained how, what and why about the ISS. The discussions also focused on the future potential of this space station and provided many examples for how how business and education objectives can be met and achieved.

Attending were leading aviation and airport professionals representing industry, business and government from around the world. The Summit serves as a place for interested parties to share successes, discuss ongoing challenges in airport operations and management as well as providing an opportunity to learn from each other.

This annual event brings together pioneering indivudals and organisations developing a wide range of 3D related products in the areas of design, processing, diagnostics, decision making, consultation, demonstration and communication. Architecture, urbanism and landscape design are key roles in the conference, and several workshops in a 'Industry and Virtual Technologies' forum were  held. This year, 3D & Augmentaiton Reality for Mobility was also a popular theme.
