3D Modeling is not only about meshes and the creation of 3D surfaces. It includes an understanding of the relationships of objects sharing a model space - if a city block is modelled in 3D, then it can include everything within the extents of that city block. This principle applies to individual and connected spaces and objects. For example, the study of energy within a building in 3D space can include the surfaces, structural elements and other phenomenon making up that space. The modelling of a river can include it's flow, physical dimensions, slope and so on. This page includes modelling in all forms including applications and concepts.
