Piling work for the 53 storey £150 million Madison, a project being delivered by Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, has now been completed providing the firm foundations required for this major tower project in Canary Wharf, London. Developed by award winning London development manager LBS Properties, The Madison will become a striking addition to the London skyline. A total of 625 piles, equivalent to 12.5km and ranging between 12m to 25m in length, have been driven into the ground, providing the solid foundations the towering structure will need to soar 180 meters into the sky.

Designed by globally renowned Make Architects The Madison will house 423 high specification studios, one, two and three bedroom homes, including 104 affordable homes and offer residents a number of high-quality amenities such as outside space, hotel-style lounge, a gym and swimming pool. The slender form of the hexagonal glass clad tower allows over 70% of the site’s footprint to be dedicated to a carefully planned new public garden, boosting the number of London’s green open spaces.  Read More
