This survey examines the current precision agriculture uses in western Canada and the barriers affecting precision agriculture practices. Definitions of precision agriculture (PA) can include the specific equipment or devices using GPS to collect information and the analysis of the data to determine the management strategies affecting crop production. For the purpose of this Survey, consider precision agriculture (PA) in relation to the tools & technology you are using or would consider for your farm. To encompass all aspects of precision agriculture, consider precision agriculture (PA) as a term used to describe the practice of collecting agricultural information with spatial accuracy from a range of devices to enable the site specific management decisions for food production.  Survey information is collected for the purposes of consultation and Dale Steele P.Ag. is conducting the study on behalf of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
