The 9th Unmanned Systems Canada Student UAS Competition took place in Alma QC hosted by the Centre d’Éxcellence sur les Drones – CED.   Amid gusty winds and chilly temperatures, 13 teams got off the ground to census  three different types of geese that had been set up in the flying area.  The real challenge was to extract eggs from  a nesting pair and return them to the wildlife biologist for inspection. The winner was University of Toronto  - UAV Division; a first for the team.  In addition to the top 3 prizes,  prizes for Innovation, Perseverance and Professionalism   were awarded.
