sncf droneWith Altametris, a subsidiary dedicated to drones, SNCF Réseau highlights its expertise in this fast-growing sector. Thursday 5 January 2017, Patrick Jeantet, Chairman and CEO of SNCF Réseau, presented this new entity in the presence of Alain Vidalies, Secretary of State in charge of Transport.  SNCF Réseau launched, Thursday, January 5, Altametris, a subsidiary dedicated to drones. The railway infrastructure manager wishes to provide flexibility  "in an activity that is booming" , says Patrick Jeantet, president of SNCF network. 

Four years after the creation of a specific cluster and a few months after the successful  PARIS DRONE FESTIVAL , the creation of this new entity is to train network, the first step towards industrialization of operating the drones. Intended for the activities of the SNCF group, the services resulting from the Altametris experience will benefit other infrastructure managers. The team consists of 20 engineers, tele-pilots and developers, who have a fleet of 12 drones. In cooperation with industry players, startups, industrialists and public authorities, the subsidiary will offer solutions in the field of maintenance and safety. "This is to confirm the French leadership on civil UAVs, with the concern to remain at the forefront" , said  at the press conference, Secretary of State for Transport Alain Vidal.  Read More
