mayan mapThe National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) made the announcement yesterday as it detailed the advances that have been made in its ambitious Great Mayan Aquifer (GAM) project. A team made up of archaeologists, biologists, underwater photographers and cave divers has been working since the middle of last year to explore, document and map the extensive subterranean network of water deposits on the Yucatán Peninsula.
