Albany police will soon have a high-tech way to practice their shooting skills. City commissioners approved the purchase of a Milo Range Training Simulator during their meeting Tuesday. The system costs about $48,000, but Chief Michael Persley said the department’s current system is outdated at 10 years old. Persley said the simulator is similar to the Xbox Kinect and has more than 800 scenarios for training, including those with both lethal and non-lethal weapons.
